Angry Birds 100 Chart Coloring

One of my favorite blogs lately is Lil’ Country Kindergarten.  Marlana creates some neat printables!
Lil' Country Kindergarten

Recently she posted some Hundred Chart Art printables and it brought back memories of doing these with my Kindergarten class when I taught.  She has shared so many awesome freebies, I am so thankful.  Be sure to check out her site for: butterfly, pumpkin, turkey, & chick in this post, and groundhog, Cat in the Hat, Leprechaun, bunny, 100, Abe Lincoln, & George Washington in this post.

Since we were in the middle of Angry Birds week, I decided to give it a go and make an Angry Bird version.  You can download it here!  I left space on the webpage for more, in case I decide to create more in the future!Angry Birds 100 Chart Coloring

Here is Krash’s finished Red Bird, he was so excited!  We added googly eyes to his {his request}.

Moments to Remember

Moments to remember

Moments to Remember was developed as a simple way to look back on our week as homeschoolers and find photos that encompass the memories we want to remember.

The week may have been tough, there may have been more bumps than smiles, but in the end these are the moments that keep us going, the ones we need to remember.

I have a many moments that stood out to me as I browsed back through this last week’s photos, I guess I took a lot of pictures!

We had our first theme in awhile, Angry Birds!  The kids loved it and since they all love the silly birds, it was something that really united them all.  Ladybug and Krash played with the game and our stuffed birds a LOT together this week!

Working on Ladybug’s All About Reading with her and Krash is awesome.  Krash gets so excited that he knows the rhyming words, it is a great review for him!  I love working with them both together.IMG_0207

I loved seeing Pac quiz Krash with his sight wordsIMG_0253

Ladybug and Krash had a ball pit letter hunt together and it was tons of fun! IMG_0277

It was awesome to see how totally excited Krash was when he completed the Teach Me Kindergarten level!  I upgraded him to the first grade level and he hopped right into the ball pit and played for a long time!  I love that he can sit in a ball pit and play the iPad for school!Teach Me 1st Grade App

I started really using Instagram and am so glad I did.  I am using it more as a personal memory collector, as a scrapbook of sorts.  I have big dreams of printing them all out at the end of the year into a book-we’ll see if I can keep it up!  Here are my favorite homeschooling moments of this past week…

I love Calendar Notebook time with all 3 kiddos.  Morning prayer & Bible time with Daddy is still going strong.  It is difficult at times, but I am so glad it is still going consistently.

Ladybug “read” me her Bible one day before her nap.  Pac cheered Krash on as he progressed in Teach Me 1st Grade.

I love that I can assign Krash to write a shopping list for his afternoon school!  He loves his new Skylanders game and saved his money to buy 2 characters.  He wrote a list of their names and drew pictures of them one day!  Finally, getting to wear your snow pants inside because you think you look so cool might just be the best reason of the week to love homeschooling.

Family Binder ~ Back on the Wagon

I have been making my own organizational forms for years.  I have even had my own family management binder for years.  But, this past year I totally fell off of the wagon.  I was a complete family binder dropout.  Last week I got back on the streak and decided to just join ListPlanIt instead of reinventing the wheel, again.

Lists to Put Your World in Order

There was a coupon code in the back of 31 Days to Clean so I jumped on it one evening and began printing away!

I think I am successfully back on track and oh does it ever feel good!

List Plan It Family Binder

A few of the pages were things I have used before.  But I have added a few new pages after inspiration I got from browsing through the forms at ListPlanIt.  One of my favorite new sections is my “A Month of Blog Topics” sheet.  You can see portions of it in the 2 bottom photos in the collage above.  I am filling all predictable posts {Moments to Remember, Tot School, and my Totally Tots posts}, then using the rest to brainstorm and assign days for upcoming posts so I don’t forget!  Another thing I did was add a few sections that are in sheet protectors, so I can use a Vis a Vis to write on them and just erase-to save printing.   I also went back to using the 3 ring pouch to store these pens as well as my pencil {I always use pencil in my binder}.

Two sections I am still working on are our family medical section and our financial info section.  In all I have the following sections so far: Calendar/To Do, Blogging/Online Management, Family Medical, Contacts/Financial Info, Bills, Shopping Lists/Misc.

I am thankful that I jumped in and purchased my membership to ListPlanIt.  Even though some of the forms aren’t as prettied-up as I might make them, they are printed and being used-that is the important part! DO any of you use ListPlanIt?  Have a blog post about your own Family Binder?  Leave a link in the comments below, I’d love to see it!

Tot School

~Ladybug is currently 33 months old~

It was a totally off week for us between a few days out of town for our staff retreat, and sickness all around.  We started our Animal ABC Letter C, but only got a tiny way in so I will wait and share all of her letter C work next week!

I re-created our winter sensory bin and the kids loved it!IMG_0057

They even got out blankets to set around the room to be icebergs…IMG_0059

We added in play dough from our Busy Hands Box and combined items from the sensory bin with the play dough to explore and have fun!IMG_0076

She played with Blokus a lot, working hard on fitting pieces in just the right spaces!IMG_0143

On one particularly sniffly day for the kids, we curled up in our bean bags and watched The Blue Planet: Frozen Seas on Netflix.  Since we are learning about The Arctic and Antarctica through our Calendar Connections, it was a perfect fit and all 3 kids enjoyed it.  They also enjoyed piling blankets on top of Ladybug at the end!IMG_0148

Techy-Tot_thumb2_thumb

Instead of taking a nap while we were away on our staff retreat, she chilled with the pad for awhile and relaxed.  This shot was from Instagram, which I have just gotten into.  I was using my iPad, which is a bit bulky, but then my mom gave me her expired iPhone {she got an upgraded one through her job} and now I can use it as an iPod!!!  It has a camera, so hopefully I will become a more regular Instagram user!!ipod 053

Here she was playing The ABC’s of God, which she loves. See more iPad apps we love here, iPad apps part 2 is here!! IMG_0064

Life SchoolWe spent a few days at a retreat center with our church staff family.  One of the favorite activities for the kids is definitely the warm indoor pool in the middle of chilly January!  Ladybug was a little fish and loved it!ipod 066

This was the result of an afternoon of swimming with no nap.  She crashed in our arms at dinner!  She NEVER falls asleep outside of her bed, this was a first!  We enjoyed the snuggles! These are Instagram shots too!
